Our conference will highlight ideas for empowering deaf young people to take greater control of their lives and the support they receive. You’ll hear from deaf young people, expert leaders and practitioners, but you’ll spend most of the day learning participation techniques at our interactive workshops.
The event will be focused around three key themes:
- Gathering the views of deaf children and young people.
- Building deaf young people’s confidence in making decisions about their education.
- Real-life examples of co-production between deaf children and young people and education professionals.
We are co-producing the event with deaf young people. They have worked closely with professionals to shape the content and will also be sharing their experiences in education. You’ll also have the opportunity to network and collaborate with likeminded professionals through our new online conference platform.
