I'm not deaf but I'm learning sign by: Arlyce Watson
Dear Ms. Lee,
Hope you will continue to learn ASL as there is a great demand for interpreters nowadays. If you truly pursue this as a career, you can find any job anywhere. I teach sign language from time to time. I always emphasize from day one that it is not enough to know thousand of signs, if the signer lacks proper eye contact, cultural-based facial and body language, knowledge of classifiers, and spatial relationship. I tell students that it is better to know a few signs to possess all of the above mentioned than a thousand signs w/o taking cultural aspect into consideration. Good luck in your pursue, Ms. Lee.

Awesome! by: Art
What a great tribute to the educational advantages of learning Sign! Not only is this student enjoying the classes in school, but using this skill out in the community, plus using it at home with brother. Way to go!
