Yes and you won't believe this. I learned recently at the DBC conference that Deaf babies' 'fate' are often decided by EHDI (Early Hearing Detection and Intervention) which is under the CDC - Center for Disease Control! They view us, the Deaf, as a disease - something to be controlled or rid of. Groan!
